I’ve never been shy about sharing my opinions, could writing them down, cataloging them and publishing them on the internet grant them more significance? Probably not. But you’re reading this right now…so that’s got to count for something.
Battsland will be a place for ruminations on politics, religion, culture, food, basketball and any other subject that may lie somewhere in between. The thoughts you’ll read here will always have a strong philosophical slant and an elevated level of conviction, but I encourage comments and discussion if you find your opinions to differ. I might not be easily persuaded, but a good argument will always be welcomed.
I’m a 33 year old married man living in Grand Rapids, MI. I’m a Writer and Producer of promotions and commercials at the local FOX affiliate. I enjoy basketball, cooking, traveling, golf, waterskiing and a whole host of other activities. I have a beautiful wife and a gorgeous jump-shot. Life is good.

Thankfully, the local FOX station where I work is not obliged to conform to the ideology of FOX News. My fellow employees and I are free to lean whichever direction we please.
